Balsamic Strawberries

Strawberry season is here.  Just another reason I love springtime so much.

I made these balsamic strawberries for dinner the other night and they were delicious.  So sweet they were practically dessert!

Balsamic Strawberries
From: Southern Living

2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

Stir ingredients together and let stand 1 hour.

  1. I saw that recipe in Southern Living and I was hesitant to try it, but I certainly will now. Thanks for being my test kitchen.

  4. Thanks! I will definitely prepare this for my wife and kids tomorrow. Perhaps I will take it up a notch a bit by adding a big dollop of cream on the side. Please do drop by my site http://remodelingbible.com to check out my posts. :)

  7. Tried this last night and it was SO good! Awesome with French vanilla ice cream--the berry sauce drizzled over the ice cream...let's just say I'll be making more of it before the weekend's done. (Posted a pic to our FB page, it was so good!)
